About
Biography
In addition to my deep love of astrology in its many forms, both ancient and modern, I am an associate therapist, an artist (primarily an oil painter), and a longtime grief-tending listener in a state women’s prison. I am also the founder of Inanna Institute. For the past 20 years, I have explored the intersections of arts, spirituality, grief, social justice, and meaning-making with clients, students, and incarcerated women. I enjoy teaching astrology and integrating it with other therapeutic approaches in my work with clients. My approach to astrology and therapeutic work is integrative, person-centered, experiential, experimental, and collaborative. I seek to weave personally meaningful symbolism with ancient metaphors, imagery, and embodied awareness within a holistic, ecosystemic framework. I believe astrology should never be used to pathologize or define a person. Rather, its remarkable gift lies in its capacity to affirm, illuminate, and validate the lived experience of those who engage with it. I approach this language of light and time with reverence and awe, balanced by healthy skepticism. In my work, I bring curiosity, sensitivity, and openness to what may emerge. Above all, my intention is to meet each person with presence and respect -- to see and hear the individual before me, honoring their unique experience, wisdom, and life.
Approach to readings
My aim is to be a compassionate presence, a conscientious listener who provides clients with a warm relaxed space to unpack the past, make sense of the present, and imagine and strategize a future they want to inhabit. Together, we will investigate cycles, trends, themes, unique talents, obstacles, and opportunities. We will discuss strengths and potential limitations. Here you will find a sacred dialogue, a collaborative ritual, a nonjudgemental approach to astrology. My aim is to assist clients in moving toward greater well-being, purposefulness, understanding, and joy in their uniquely precious life.
