Relationship astrology explores the dynamics between two people through their birth charts. It can offer a different perspective on attraction, compatibility, communication, emotional needs, recurring patterns and the strengths and challenges within a relationship.

What happens during a relationship astrology reading?

Your astrologer will usually begin by examining each person’s individual birth chart before looking at the relationship between them.

They may compare planetary positions, aspects and house placements to explore where the charts connect.

For example, one person’s Venus may interact strongly with the other’s Mars, suggesting a particular dynamic around attraction. The Moon may be involved in another person’s Saturn, highlighting themes around emotional security, responsibility or commitment.

Is relationship astrology about compatibility?

It can be – but compatibility is only part of the picture.

Likewise, two charts can appear highly compatible without guaranteeing that a relationship will flourish.

Human beings remain wonderfully inconvenient.
