Biography
My journey into astrology began several years ago when an astrologer suggested that I had the potential to become an astrologer because of the specific placement of certain planets in my birth chart. Although the idea resonated with me, the sheer breadth of the subject felt rather daunting, and I put it to one side. The interest never really disappeared, however, and when I eventually returned to studying astrology, I discovered a fascinating world of connections and possibilities. My background encompasses many years of personal and professional with horses alongside teaching, mentoring and personal development. I've also spent over 25 years studying and practising Huna, alongside exploring other philosophies and modalities, including NLP and Hypnotherapy, that have enriched my understanding of human behaviour, personal development and our relationship with the world around us. These experiences, together with my intuitive approach to life, have shaped the way I practise astrology today. I don't see a birth chart as a fixed blueprint or a means of predicting someone's future. Instead, I see it as a living map of possibilities, offering insights into our individuality, patterns and potential. My consultations are conversations rather than one-way interpretations. I encourage curiosity, questions and reflection, allowing each person to discover what resonates with them and how they might apply those insights in their own life. Through Starlight Astrology, I offer personal, business and equine astrology consultations, alongside interactive workshops designed to make astrology accessible, engaging and relevant to everyday life. For me, astrology is about understanding ourselves more deeply, recognising the choices available to us and discovering fresh perspectives on the lives we wish to create.
Approach to readings
A consultation with me is not a reading but a two-way conversation around the interpretation of your birth chart. Consultations take place online via Zoom, and I prepare your birth chart in advance. In-person sessions can be by mutual arrangemnt depending on location. Our first consultation focuses primarily on the astrological trinity of your Sun, Moon and Rising signs, providing a foundation for understanding your individuality and the different aspects of who you are. Subsequent consultations can delve into particular topics, themes or challenges you may be experiencing, offering fresh perspectives and greater clarity. Rather than following a rigid formula, I allow our conversation to unfold naturally, giving us the freedom to investigate areas of particular interest and follow connections as they emerge. Together, we'll look at the patterns, connections and possibilities within your chart, considering how they might relate to your experiences, your individuality and the life you're creating. My approach is intuitive and draws upon the connections with the natural world, its seasons, cycles and rhythms. I may draw upon mythology and use analogies, metaphors and storytelling, sometimes bringing the planets to life as characters with their own personalities, to make astrology accessible, engaging and relevant to everyday life. I often think of a birth chart as being rather like a mycelium network, where countless threads connect and interact beneath the surface. Nothing exists in isolation. Each planet, sign, house and aspect contributes to a much wider picture, offering a myriad of possible connections and interpretations. And just as we continue to grow and evolve, so does our understanding of our chart. The planetary placements may remain unchanged, but each time we revisit them, we may discover something different, informed by our experiences and where we find ourselves in life. I encourage questions, curiosity and open discussion. You don't need any previous knowledge of astrology, and there's no expectation that everything we discuss will resonate with you. Sometimes the most interesting insights emerge when we look at something from an entirely different perspective. My role isn't to tell you who you are, what you should do or what your future holds. It's to offer insights that encourage reflection, deepen your understanding of yourself and help you recognise the choices and possibilities available to you. Following our consultation, you'll receive a copy of your birth chart and an audio recording of our conversation, giving you the opportunity to revisit anything that particularly interested you or perhaps discover something you hadn't noticed at the time. Above all, I want you to feel comfortable, involved and free to draw your own conclusions.
